Vocational Development – Creative and Media

Objective

To share high quality learning opportunities in a vocational setting with Hub members and wider community

To work with Compton Hub (S Peter’s, Smestow and Wolverhampton College, Lighthouse media centre) on the delivery of the CREATIVE AND MEDIA diploma at levels 1, 2 and 3.

To appoint key staff (digital artist) to ensure delivery of diplomas at Levels 1 and 2 across the partnership hub.

At least 6 Students from each Hub school to be enrolled on the Diploma courses at Level 1 & 2.At least 5 Students from each Hub school to be enrolled on the Diploma courses at Level 3


To establish a taster day for pupils across the extended partnership (to include Heath Park, Coppice and Smestow).

Target diploma group in Year 9 of 20 students to be mentored by freelance animation artist over 6 month period.

To facilitate a Diploma Management Network meeting (DMN) each term [By July 2010] Key staff from media areas trained with Lighthouse media centre in film production and editing.
