This site has many links to other web sites. Once on the home page, scroll down to the mathematics links section. Excellent for both students and staff.
www.nrich.maths.org.uk This is an excellent site for students - especially those looking to be stretched! Plenty of puzzles (including a bank of previous monthly puzzles) and items of interest - some thought provoking pages.
www.eduweb.co.uk This is intended for students. A bit "fiddly" to access - however persevere!
Click on LIVING LIBRARY, then SECONDARY. Once this has been done, click on FIND, and SEARCH THE LIBRARY. You should now see REVISION GUIDES. Plenty of revision materials for students.
www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize This is an excellent site for students - no matter your age! - and gives not only worked examples and "tests" on a whole variety of topics, but also gives a lot of tips and guidance on revision and examination techniques across Key Stages 3 & 4, and at the differing tiers offered at Mathematics.
www.statistics.gov.uk

What does this site do? Briefly, it will/has all statistics to do with government - a ward by ward breakdown of jobs/births/deaths/ KS2 results/percentage breakdown of populations - and this is just one page.
It is gradually being upgraded - 1991 census data is on there and 2001 will be added. It's the type of site that anyone following a statistical course (year 10 and above) can access to find a terrific resource of secondary data.

www.mori.com/abc/
glossary.shtml

Besides the online shop, they offer a variety of entertainment experiences from birthday parties to corporate events! If you are looking for something different, then they are the people for you!

www.kitchenkettle.com This site is based in the New England town of Intercourse, Pennsylvania. USA. It is in the heart of Amish country - people who still live their lives according to the precepts of the original Dutch immigrants of the 19th Century. Once you are on the site, click on the VILLAGE QUILTS link. You will see a variety of their celebrated quilts - each one is hand stitched a team of ladies and can take up to 12 months to make. They use a lot of geometrical shapes and patterns, as well as make use of symmetry - both reflection and rotation.

You will have the opportunity to tackle questions and access all sorts of information - keep your mind active!
www.mathsmed.co.uk This site is aimed at any student - and has lots of one-off mathematical problems and questions for you to try. We have already (successfully) used some of these in school. Give them a whirl!
www.2july.co.uk This is a good site which has material from KS3 to KS5. There are lots of powerpoint displays as well as revision materials. The KS5 revision work looks exceptionally good - many worked examples, for instance, on discrete mathematics. Try it out!
