Saturday 29 th January, 7.30pm PRE TOUR CONCERT Holy Trinity Church , Wordsley with Unity Gospel Choir (Rehearsals during afternoon for all members of the Concert Band commencing @ 2.30) Please bring a packed tea with you. Drinks will be provided. A letter will go out to parents regarding arrangements and ticket orders.

Monday 7 th February All percussion equipment, instruments & music etc that are going on tour are to be brought to the Music Studio at school by the start of period 1, to prepare for our late evening departure. All instruments should already be clearly labelled using tour labels issued at parents meeting. Ensure that cases are secure, well packed inside, but not locked.

 

Monday 7 th - Friday 18 th February CONCERT BAND CONCERT TOUR 2005 NEW YORK & MASSACHUSETTS , USA   We will meet at school one hour before departure. All luggage should be clearly labelled with tour labels issued at parents meeting. Please bring your luggage to Music Studio via fire door entrance.

•  We have been asked to perform a number of concerts during the remainder of the academic year. I will inform you of these dates and venues as they are confirmed.

•  Sunday 27 th February - Music For Youth Festival at Birmingham Conservatoire

•  Friday 1 st July - joint concert with St Peter's Church Choir as part of St Peterstide celebrations

•  Saturday 2 nd July - Performance at the Friends Summer Fair Event at school

•  Monday 18 th July - School Summer Concert

 

Thank you for your continued hard work and great performances last term. It is vital that you do your utmost to attend rehearsals to enable the Concert Band to perform well and achieve it's potential. The current Concert Band is possibly the best sounding Concert Band at S. Peter's that I can remember and that is down to your hard work, both individually and more importantly as a team of people. Remember - every one of you are part of that team!
